KC hosts free, pop-up fresh food pantry

Families in need, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, can get free, fresh fruits and vegetables at a Pop-Up Pantry hosted by the Kansas City, MO Health Department.

Fresh produce is available on the second Tuesday of each month beginning at 1:30 p.m. until supplies last at the KCMO Health Department, 2400 Troost Ave. The next event will be held September 8.

Partners assisting with the effort include Harvesters Community Food Network, UMKC Health Sciences District and Truman Medical Center.

Would pet resources (eg, dog/cat food, info about preventative health care, maybe mobile vet clinic) be useful/welcome at these events? If so, can you provide contact info to arrange?
