Many environmental issues like rising levels of climate change and growing pollution, Planet Earth is in danger of environmental issues of destruction. Medical authorities have been issuing health warnings to the global citizens on the health consequences of tampering with nature. But we are yet to take them seriously.Industrial development and massive production of goods are worsening the air we breathe and the water we drink. Our hunger to catch up with a fast-paced lifestyle is making us forget the shortcomings of urban success. Ignorance of the natural environment is costing us our health and peace. Let us know the five topmost factors that are putting our environmental issues under great stress and risk.

Pollution

It is a sore point for all of us. The land, air, and sea that give us our living and sustenance face hazardous pollution levels. Pollution is one of the biggest environmental destruction concerns and threats to humanity. The pollution disaster has many sources–air, water, light, noise, and biodiversity affecting our calm and peaceful environment each day.

It is a sore point for all of us. The land, air, and sea that give us our living and sustenance face hazardous pollution levels. Pollution is one of the biggest environmental destruction concerns and threats to humanity. The pollution disaster has many sources. I mean and for example: air, water, light, noise, and biodiversity. For all are affecting our calm and peaceful environment each day.

There is no specific source to blame on. All kinds of pollution influence one another and produce more damage. So, all sources of pollution need collective tackling to reduce the shared impact on the environmental issues we face. People need to come together and work as a community to reduce the pollution shock on our environment.

How You Can Help: Adopting green practices like sowing plants in your garden space may contribute to air purification and keep our lungs healthy. That will help abate environmental destruction!

Food Wastage

Around 1.3 billion tons of food for human consumption gets wasted. Fruits and vegetables account for maximum wastage. Food loss does not just end in the drain and disposal bags; it accounts for greenhouse gas emissions. In developing and developed countries, food waste occurs at different stages. In the developing nations, maximum food waste happens at the food processing and post-harvest levels, whereas in developed countries, food waste occurs at the retail and consumer levels.

There is a food shortage in the underprivileged countries; on the other hand, there is shocking food wastage at the eating places. This is a hue environmental issue, it widens the gap between availability and consumption and causes food insecurity, another problem plaguing the world. Unhealthy food choices and fondness for oily food are affecting nutrition and immunity levels in the average person.

How You Can Help: Eat healthy organic food to get more nutrition. Add herbal supplements like CBD Edibles in your diet to build up immunity against environmental hazards.

Deforestation

Did you know that our forest cover absorbs harmful carbon dioxide from factories and industrial units to reduce global warming? Yet, the human population is destroying precious forests to build more and more urban landscapes.

Did you know that our forest cover absorbs harmful carbon dioxide from factories and industrial units to reduce global warming? Yet, the human population is destroying precious forests to build more and more urban landscapes.

The Amazon rainforest in South America is on the verge of decline because of the human need to create townships. Cutting down trees can destroy animal habitats and human settlements that depend on forests for their living. This leads to less open land, leading to overcrowding and less space for growing plants and vegetation.

How You Can Help: Use eco-friendly alternatives for daily use such as reusable grocery bags, biodegradable trash bags, reusable straws, cruelty-free beauty products to respect Earth and prevent its damage. For home gardening, adopt natural lawn care products like green pesticides and organic fertilizers.

Plastic Culture

From our lunch boxes to handwash containers, shopping bags, computers, and mobiles, plastics is the one driving force screaming its presence everywhere. Plastic production and usage have grown multi-fold in domestic and industrial applications.

From our lunch boxes to handwash containers, shopping bags, computers, and mobiles, plastics is the one driving force screaming its presence everywhere. Plastic production and usage have grown multi-fold in domestic and industrial applications.

How much of the plastic you consume is recyclable? Almost negligible. Plastic once used has no reuse value and ends up in landfills, polluting our land and water bodies to a disastrous level. Plastic further breaks down into microplastics that choke the air and water we breathe and drink.

How You Can Help: Stop using disposable plastic. Switch to jute or canvas bag. They last longer and reusable. Carry these eco-friendly bags whenever you move out for shopping.

Global Warming

The rising global temperature because of greenhouse gas emission is not a minor temperature rise. It signifies the multiple catastrophes the Earth is facing, from bushfire, swarming locusts, decimating crops. Microplastics found in Antarctic ice and Greenland ice sheet melting are a fraction of the enormous loss already happening.

Hurricanes, tropical storms, flooding are not once in a month but are taking place on an almost daily basis in several parts of the world. It may take years for global warming to vanish off from Earth unless we don’t take any steps to halt it.

How You Can Help: Use renewable energy sources like solar power that are cost-effective options than the expensive and perishable sources of energy like coal. Install solar panels in your house. They are a one-term investment, lead to savings, and save you the worry of occasional power cuts.

Summing Up

There are many other environmental problems like land use, overfishing, biodiversity loss, increasing carbon footprint, melting ice caps, and ozone layer depletion plaguing our planet. It is time we put in our little effort to save our world from extinction. Let us give our planet the respect and pride it deserves.
