Tesla Glass Roof Holds 4 Protesters Standing On It
Four protesters in Seattle made an impact while standing and performing on the glass roof of a Tesla Model S as it slowly led the protest there.
This happened last night when Tesla owner and musician Raz Simone joined the Seattle protests with his Model S. He and three others were standing on the roof as the vehicle slowly led protests in standing up to the brutal injustices dealt against many American citizens of color.
Eric Jensen shared the video footage and tweeted: “Celebratory atmosphere on Capitol Hill. The energy is not letting up seven days into Seattle’s #GeorgeFloyd protests. #komonews.”

Tesla vehicles are known for their glass roofs. It’s an iconic visual trademark of the company that adds to its sleek and futuristic design. The idea of four people standing on top of a glass roof can seem worrisome, but Tesla is known for making durable products and leading in automobile safety.
Tesla isn’t widely known for its development of glass, but if you look at the last 4–5 years, you can see that Tesla, in fact, has done just that. Earlier this year, Tesla filed for a new patent: Automotive Perforated Insulated Glass Structure. This patent is an addition to the one published in 2018, also called Automotive Perforated Insulated Glass Structure. The glass includes two layers: outer and inner.
The inner layer is perforated with many holes and is separated from the outer layer by a gap. In Tesla’s newest patent, the company proposes a structure that can provide noise absorption and thermal insulation performance.
Another type of glass that Tesla has developed is the Solar Glass roof tiles for its solar side of the business. These are tempered glass tiles with solar cells embedded inside.
Also, let’s not forget the armored glass that the Cybertruck will have.
The idea of walking, jumping, or standing on a glass roof of any type is daunting. Multiply that by four people performing and creating a good vibe for the people around them. That would have to be some seriously strong glass.
Tesla has a reputation for building safe vehicles. This just adds to the evidence.
