EB Impact, Eco-Business’ non-profit arm, has announced that Meryl Koh will be joining its board of directors.

Koh is a litigator and director at established Singapore law firm Drew & Napier LLC, who specialises in dispute resolution, arbitration and intellectual property. She was identified as one of 2019’s top 40 bright legal minds in the region under the age of 40 by Asian Legal Business, and has been recognised by the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a ‘next-generation’ up-and-coming lawyer to watch.

As part of EB Impact’s board, Koh will provide strategic guidance for the non-profit and support its fund-raising and programme development efforts. “I cannot wait to see how the team’s projects continue to spark more awareness, real change and responsibility in the community,” Koh said.

EB Impact, established in 2019, is focused on delivering programmes that generate positive environmental and social impact in communities in Asia Pacific. It has three strategic focus areas: education, youth and nature-based solutions.

The non-profit recently launched Sustainability Exchange, a mentorship programme supported by Facebook that places youths on corporate sustainability projects.

“We are excited to have Meryl join the Board. She is passionate about sustainability issues and comes with deep legal experience and wide networks that will complement the Board’s skills and capabilities,” said Jessica Cheam, managing editor of Eco-Business, who also sits on the board of EB Impact.

“We look forward to growing the non-profit’s activities around the region with her on board,” Cheam added.
