AVPN appoints Tristan Ace from British Council as new chief product officer

The former British Council executive replaces Allison Hollowell, who moves on after 5 years with the funders network.

Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, a Singapore-based funders network for impact investing, has hired a new chief product officer.

Joining the organisation after an 11-year spell with the British Council is Tristan Ace. He takes on the role of developing and expanding AVPN products to help social investors move more capital towards impact.

He replaces Allison Hollowell, who moves on from AVPN after more than 5 years to move to a new life in Costa Rica.

Ace comes on board after with experience working in Yangon, Beijing and most recently in Hong Kong for British Council, as lead for inclusive economic development. 

In his role at British Council, he worked with United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) and and the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), and with governments in the region to develop policies and strategies to build the impact economy ecosystem.

Set up in 2010, AVPN has more than 500 members, and claims to have connected members to more than 400 deals across the region in sectors ranging from education and energy to healthcare and housing.
