First Integrated STEM Leadership Summit in Asia

The Unilab Foundation, in partnership with the US-based STEM Leadership Alliance, the Center for Integrated STEM in the Philippines (CISTEM), the University of the Philippines College of Education, and the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST), invite you to take part in the First Integrated STEM Leadership Summit in Asia. The event will be held from November 21 to 24, 2019 at the Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa, Cebu City, Philippines.

Developing a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) literate citizenry that can synergise their skills with the needs of both local and global communities is vital if we are to navigate through a rapidly changing world. As such, the First Integrated STEM Summit in Asia emphasises the imperative for shared efforts among diverse sectors. It also aims to provide a platform for cross-sectoral dialogue and collaboration among government, academe, industry, and community.

The Summit will feature a world-class roster of speakers from government, industry, and the academe, including: Barbara Morgan, former NASA astronaut; Dr. M.S. Vijay Kumar, associate dean at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; and Daniel Rouan, president of the La main à la pâte Foundation in France. Attendees will also have the chance to work one-on-one with STEM advocates from all over the world to conceptualize their own initiatives to strengthen Integrated STEM through global crossvergence.
