Rulemaking Notice: Amending WAC 365-230

Source: Washington State Department of Commerce, July 12, 2021

Updating clearance standards for lead in dust on floors and windows for lead-based paint programs

This rulemaking will align Commerce with the Environmental Protection Agency’s updated clearance standards for lead in dust on floors and windows in homes or children’s facilities, and existing definitions for “landlord” and “property manager.” The proposed rules also amend certain training and certification requirements to reflect programmatic updates and to clarify language for firms and employees.
