eStatico hair trimmer relies on static energy for a quick, clean haircut

Designed by Pierre Paslier, the eStatico concept hair trimmer allows semi-bald men give themselves a smart-looking, barber-free haircut. Aside from serving the aforesaid purpose, it relies on static electric to collect cut hair. The Royal College of Art graduate proposes to equip his concept hair trimmer with rotating blades and small brushes for ensuring a fast, precise and clean haircut.

Using eStatico hair trimmer’s rotating 360° blades, users may cut their hair in any direction. While a pression device keeps the trimmer in motion, a static electricity generator catches all cut hair. As the designer puts it, the device contains certain small brushes made from materials with opposite triboelectric properties, which produce a static electric charge while rubbing against each other. Low voltage, thus created, attracts cut hair in a jiffy.
